Is it the end of the line for a ban on bluefish tuna fishing?

‘A sharply divided European Union failed today to protect the bluefin tuna, as Mediterranean countries refused to back even a temporary ban on catching the fish, which is prized by sushi aficionados. The European commission wanted a temporary ban on commercial fishing until stocks recovered, but Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Spain, France and Italy – which have strong fishing lobbies – blocked the move.’
